Continued recognition for responsible manufacturing at BOAL Extrusion UK

BOAL Extrusion UK has renewed its Environmental & Social Value (ESV) Certification for another year.

We were one of the early adopters of the ESV Certification. At the time, it wasn’t about adding another certificate to the wall. It was about recognising what was already happening across our business: investing in our people, supporting the community around us and making practical choices to reduce our environmental impact.

That hasn’t changed.

What ESV looks like at BOAL

At our operation in Leicestershire, many of those choices are part of everyday manufacturing. We use 100% renewable electricity, keep non-aluminium waste sent to landfill below 1%, use plant-based cutting fluid and continue to look for ways to make our aluminium extrusion processes more efficient.

The people side matters just as much. We invest in training and development and support local initiatives including Falcon Support Services and Co-Treetment.

Our Local4Local approach fits into that thinking too. Manufacturing in the UK and working with regional partners where it makes sense helps us stay close to our customers and contributes to a stronger, more resilient supply chain.

Why does it matter to our customers?

Because customers aren’t only buying an aluminium profile. They are choosing the company behind it.

Technical capability, quality, service and reliable delivery remain essential. But environmental impact, social value, responsible business practices and supply-chain resilience are also part of the conversation when customers choose their manufacturing partners.

The ESV Certification, issued by Made in Britain and MAP UK & International, helps make that part of our business visible. It recognises the value BOAL UK already delivers through areas such as employment and training in the UK, support for local communities and responsible environmental practices.

For us, the renewal is a welcome recognition of work that often happens quietly in the background.
