At BOAL Extrusion UK, you work on aluminium solutions that truly make a difference. From concept to finished product, we collaborate with colleagues to get the very best out of aluminium. We have been doing so for over 35 years from our extrusion plant in Shepshed.

From our locations, we develop, produce and process high-quality aluminium profiles for sectors including construction, electrical engineering, transport, high-tech greenhouse horticulture and solar. Ultimately, however, it’s not just about what we make — it’s about how we achieve it together.

What is it like to work at BOAL?

Working at BOAL means operating in a technical environment with a precise production process.

It’s a workplace where collaboration is central to getting the very best out of aluminium. You are part of a team involved from start to finish: from design and die development to extrusion, post-processing, transport, delivery and invoicing. No profile or project is ever the same, so you contribute ideas, coordinate with colleagues, customers and suppliers, and work together to find the best solution.

At its core is aluminium extrusion: the process of forcing aluminium billets through a die under high pressure, creating a profile that meets the customer’s exact specifications. It sounds technical — and it is.

According to Managing Director Emma Swan much of the teams strength comes from the experience within the business. "Some colleagues have been with us for thirty years, bringing a depth of practical knowledge that continues to shape how we work."
